PAW OK Park – Private Off-Leash Dog Park

3303 NW Grand Blvd.
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

If you and your pup are looking for a fun adventure that does not require much driving, PAW OK Dog Park is a leash-free dog park that offers plenty of opportunities to play and socialize.

The park consists of two fenced-in play areas. The first is for senior dogs and dogs under 30 pounds, while the second is for larger dogs. It also features plenty of water fountains, shady trees, benches, and lots of grassy space where your dog can play and explore.

One of the best features is a roped-off dog pond, which features a fine-grade gravel beach. This area was designed specifically to allow dogs to swim and play together in the water.

Since it is a private dog park, you will have to apply for membership. While this may sound unnecessary when there are so many free dog parks in Oklahoma, private parks certainly have their benefits. For starters, every dog in the park has to have an up-to-date vaccination record. They must also be spayed or neutered, and they are regularly monitored for temperament, meaning your dog can safely socialize with others! Bicycles, scooters, alcohol, glass containers, and other dangerous objects are also banned. You also get a FOB that will give you and your pup access to the park whenever you would like.

Best of all, it is volunteer-operated, so all proceeds go towards maintaining the park and helping out local animal shelters!

Waggin’ Trail Dog Park – Dog-Friendly Hiking Trails and Off-Leash Dog Park

Owasso, Oklahoma

Waggin’ Trail Dog Park consists of 8 acres of pristine land. The off-leash section of the park features two fenced-in areas. One is set aside for large-breed dogs, while the second area is for puppies and smaller dogs.

There are plenty of benches, water fountains, and waste disposal stations, so the park is just as comfortable for humans as it is for dogs. Each of the entrances features a pen area and leash posts, so you can safely take your dog off the leash without having to worry about them bolting. Large and beautiful trees surround the park, so it has a natural and peaceful atmosphere.

After you finish up at the off-leash dog park, you can always take a short drive down to Tulsa’s Mohawk Park, which offers stunning, dog-friendly trails, a large pond, and even a zoo! While Mohawk Park is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon, it is worth noting that dogs must remain on a leash at all times.

Fassler Hall – Dog-Friendly German-Themed Restaurant and Patio

Fassler Hall is a great place to sit back and relax with your pup. They offer delicious, German-themed food, such as sausages, pretzels, schnitzel, and more! Best of all, their patio is completely dog-friendly.

Given that Midtown Mutts Dog Park is practically next door, Fassler Hall is a great place to unwind after a fun and playful afternoon at the park. Whether you and your pup want to stop by to take part in the exciting Oktoberfest celebrations or you are just looking for a place to enjoy a frosty stein of authentic German beer after a visit to the park, Fassler Hall would be happy to welcome you and your furry friend!

Keystone State Park is located in northeast Oklahoma, just west of the city of Tulsa. The park centers around picturesque Keystone Lake. Since it offers over 1,200 acres of stunning views and dog-friendly outdoor fun, it is an excellent place for you and your pup to spend the day.

If you are interested in a full weekend of fun, Keystone Park even offers dog-friendly overnight camping. The park also rents pet-friendly cabins that are outfitted with all of the amenities you could ever need, including refrigerators, microwaves, stoves, and even a fireplace.

It’s worth noting that there are pet-free zones, and all dogs must remain on a leash while on the dog-friendly trail. However, there are still some areas where your pup can enjoy the freedom of off-leash fun. If your dog enjoys splashing around in the water, take a stroll down to the lake. There are plenty of beaches for your pup to explore.
